A decision of the Ministry of Railways has brought a big relief to thousands of passengers traveling on waiting (window ticket) and RAC tickets in trains. Actually, Railways is going to provide Hand Held Terminal Device to TT of Premium, Mail and Express trains. Railways has already started this. Let us tell you that these HHT devices will be automatically confirmed according to the vacant berth waiting or RAC number and category.

Railway’s big decision

It is worth noting that Indian Railways had earlier given HHT devices to TTs in some premium trains (Rajdhani, Shatabdi) under a pilot project. This brought great relief to the passengers. Due to this, after the waiting or RAC ticket chart of the passengers were automatically confirmed in the moving train and messages reached them. After this, after its success, Indian Railways has given 5850 HHT devices to TT in 559 trains. According to the information given by the Railways, gradually the device will be installed in all Mail Express trains along with premium trains.

Device test

Railway Board said that 523604 reservations were made in a day in the moving train, in which 242825 tickets were checked with HHT device in the moving train. Of these, more than 18 thousand RACs and more than nine thousand waiting tickets were confirmed. According to the Ministry of Railways, there are 12.5 lakh reservations per day on normal days. In such a situation, if the tickets are checked with HHT devices in mail, express trains, then the number of confirmed tickets will increase.

How is the checking done now?

Let us tell you that now in many trains, they check tickets by taking TT charts. The berth on which the passenger does not reach, is marked and given to the person waiting or RAC. IndiGo tweeted, “Our Sweet16 offer is here, and we have brought some sweets. Book your flights with fares starting at Rs.1,616*. Don’t wait, as this offer is only till July 5. You can choose any day for travel from 18 August 2022 to 16 July 2023.

What Indigo has said, InterGlobe Aviation Limited (India) has written on its website that it will start from 23:59 hrs on 3rd August 2022 till 5th August 2022. During this time, people can make bookings with passenger fares starting from just Rs 1616. This offer will be applicable on domestic flights only.

IndiGo’s Sweet 16 sale is valid for bookings made at least 15 days prior to the date of departure for flights during the offer period, provided the date of travel is not earlier than August 18, 2022 and not later than July 16, 2023 .

Without disclosing the number of seats under this offer, the airline said, “There is limited inventory available under the offer and hence the discount will be provided to the customers at the discretion of IndiGo and availability of seats.”

In this episode, now the North Eastern Railway has decided to start a five-day-a-week train between Ranchi in Jharkhand and Banaras in Uttar Pradesh. According to Northeast Railway Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Singh, 18611/18612 Ranchi-Banaras-Ranchi Express will operate from Ranchi on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from August 20, for the convenience of the passenger public . At the same time, from August 21, Banaras will be operated on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, five days a week till further notice. In this train, passengers will have to follow the prescribed standards of Covid-19.

How to File TDR Online

  • For this you first go to the official website of IRCTC www.irctc.co.in.
  • Now go to the home page and click on My Account
  • Now go to the drop down menu and click on My Transaction.
  • Here you can TDR the file by choosing one of the options from the File TDR option.
  • Now you will see the information of the person in whose name the ticket has been booked.
  • Now here you fill your PNR number, train number and captcha and tick the box of cancellation rules.
  • Now you click on submit button.
  • After this you will get an OTP on the number given in the form at the time of booking.
  • After entering the OTP here, click on submit.
  • Verify PNR details and click on Cancel ticket option.
  • Here you will see the refund amount on the page.
  • On the number given on the booking form, you will get a confirmation message containing the PNR and refund details.

Train No. 20827 weekly Humsafar train will leave Jabalpur at 20.35 hrs on every Thursday from 4th August and will reach Santragachi at 15.30 hrs on Friday.

ATF price cut in Delhi

This reduction happened due to the decrease in the prices of crude oil at the international level. Earlier, due to the increase in crude oil at the international level, the price of ATF was increasing continuously. After this, the government had also given relief to domestic airlines operating international flights from 11 percent basic excise duty on the purchase of aircraft fuel i.e. ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) from oil marketing companies.

Let us tell you that there has been a huge reduction in the price of ATF in Delhi by Rs 16,232.36 per kiloliter or 11.75 percent. Its price has gone up to Rs 121,915.57 per kiloliter. Now passengers have started increasing the expectation that after the reduction in ATF, air travel can be cheaper. That is, now the airlines company can consider a reduction in the fare.

Earlier there was a reduction of 2.2 percent

Earlier on July 16, there was a reduction of Rs 3,084.94 per kiloliter (2.2 per cent), and this time the cut is the biggest ever. Meanwhile, commercial gas cylinders have also become cheaper. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 36 to Rs 1,976.50. But in the meantime, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders. The price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in the national capital is Rs 1,053.
