The Travel Agents Association of India also attributed the hike in fares for Diwali with many passengers flying to Delhi and other north Indian states. Secretary of the Travel Agents Association S. “Travel has increased but people are also traveling from Chennai to within Tamil Nadu and the demand for flights to Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore has increased,” Jayakesan told IANS.
