Flight fares News: With Diwali approaching, the flight charges from Chennai have increased.

Not only this, only people taking two doses of corona vaccine can go by flight. A one-way journey from Chennai to New Delhi will now cost around Rs 7,000 to Rs 12,000, which usually ranges between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,000. According to travel agents, most of the bookings are for New Delhi and Mumbai, while people are also traveling to Bengaluru.

Mohammad Nazir of Akbar Travels said, “The fares in New Delhi have skyrocketed and are between Rs 7,000 and Rs 12,000. The fare is likely to increase further in the coming days. Mumbai fares range between Rs 6,000 and Rs 9,000.

Travel agents also said that Bengaluru fares have doubled from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,300 in the last few days and are more likely to increase in the coming days. Nazir also said that the travel culture has almost reached the level of pre-Covid days and most of the passengers are preferring flights as there is no discharge from their offices, though most are working from home.

The Travel Agents Association of India also attributed the hike in fares for Diwali with many passengers flying to Delhi and other north Indian states. Secretary of the Travel Agents Association S. “Travel has increased but people are also traveling from Chennai to within Tamil Nadu and the demand for flights to Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore has increased,” Jayakesan told IANS.

He said most of those traveling to destinations within the state are for holiday travel, but fares have skyrocketed with a ticket from Chennai to Trichy costing Rs 7,000, which runs from Chennai to New Delhi. Rent is approx.

Krishnakumar, a software professional in Chennai, said, “Increased fares are not a problem for most people as many are trying to experience flying in a post-Covid environment. For people like me who have to fly frequently. It is a pleasure to see the country on professional work, to see people return to flights and smiles on their faces after two years of silence.”
