6 tips for first-time travellers
6 tips for first-time travellers

It can be overwhelming to get ready for your first trip. Despite knowing the fact that every first-time traveller’s preferences and every journey are different.

Here are 6 helpful tips for first-time travellers you need to know:

1. KNOW ABOUT YOUR TRAVEL DESTINATION

Before you travel, research the place you’re going. Is bargaining appropriate? Is it customary to tip? What constitutes appropriate clothing in diverse contexts? What kind of weather can you expect while you’re here? Are there any well-known local frauds to watch out for? Before you leave, you should find out the answers to all of these crucial questions.

2. TRAVEL DURING OFF-SEASON

What makes this time of year the off-season is the greatest question to ask when thinking about off-season vacation. Dealing with less-than-ideal weather or skipping seasonal activities may be worth it, or it may not. But it’s something to think about.

3. PACK LIGHT

‘Pack light’ is one of the primary pieces of advice I’d recommend to first-time travellers, especially if they plan to backpack. Test out the weight that you intend to bear to become familiar with it. Wear your fully-loaded rucksack while going about your everyday activities for a day or two. After you’ve done this, you might be more motivated to lose any excess weight before you go.

4. HAVE COPIES OF IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

In case your original documents are lost or stolen, remember to make copies of all your critical documents, including your passport and visa. Your best bet is to have both paper copies and digital versions.

5. HIDE YOUR MONEY IN MULTIPLE SPOTS

A money belt is actually a wise concept. Never keep all of your cash in one location in case your coat, bag, or other item is taken or lost. Try to keep some cash on you, some in your bag, and some carefully stashed at the hotel where you are staying.

6. CARRY MEDICINE

Never skimp on the necessities for a stress-free trip, and a first-aid kit is crucial. Bring a variety of medications, especially if you’re visiting a place where the language is unknown to you. Carry bandages, antibiotic ointment, antibiotics, and other medical supplies.

Chardham Yatra 2023: Big News ! Government's advisory on Chardham Yatra, this old order withdrawn

Uttarakhand news: The government has made its position clear regarding the Chardham Yatra starting this year. In the guidelines issued by the state government, the limited number of devotees has also been removed.

Chardham Yatra 2023 Update: Chardham Yatra 2023 will start from tomorrow in Uttarakhand. The government has clarified the situation regarding the Chardham Yatra. Earlier, there was a lot of confusion among the passengers regarding the registration in Chardham Yatra. In such a situation, the government has abolished the obligation of online registration. Apart from this, the order of limited number of devotees in Chardham has also been withdrawn, but registration is necessary to go on the yatra. For this, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued orders.

There was opposition to this order

A big decision has been taken by the state government regarding the Chardham Yatra, for which an order has now been issued by Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. Let us tell you that Chardham Yatra is going to start in Uttarakhand. For this, the government had tried to keep a limited number in view of the possibility of a large number of devotees during the yatra. However, objection was also expressed on behalf of local businessmen and people regarding this. By not keeping the number in the yatra limited, as before, the devotees were being demanded to reach the Dham easily. In view of this demand of the local people, the state government has now taken a big decision.

Government clarified the position

However, registration will be necessary for the pilgrims coming for the yatra, but during this time people can get themselves registered through both online and offline methods. This decision of the government is very important before the Chardham Yatra, because the yatra is about to start. And in such a situation, the devotees were also seen in a state of confusion regarding these conditions in the journey, but now it will be easier for the passengers to reach the Dham.
