Indian Railways latest News: With Indian Railways, now the journey will be cut with ease, it will be comfortable and there will be complete security arrangements. Soon our Indian Railways will be seen changing. Trains will run on 4G, and passengers will sleep peacefully. This means that on the spectrum that the Railways has got, it can develop both 4G and 5G networks, but for now Indian Railways will work on 4G. The passengers will get the direct benefit of the changes taking place in the coming days. Recently, the Modi cabinet has allocated 5 MHz spectrum to the Railways in 700 MHz broadband. With the help of this spectrum allocation, railways is going to take many big steps in the direction of technology.
Benefits of Spectrum
real time tracking– Rail passengers will be able to know the accurate and real time based train timings (Accurate train running status).
Safety-The TCAS (Train Collision Avoidance System) set up will be expanded in the Indian railway system. Train accidents can be prevented through this modern technology.
Centralized Train Operations System-Centralized train system can be made in Indian Railways on the lines of foreign countries. With the help of this, there will be tremendous improvement in train operations. A large rail network can be operated through the system at one place. – Spectrum allocation will play a very important role in the advanced modern signal system. It will also help in increasing the average speed of the train. – Real time based footage can be recorded or live streamed in the CCTV camera installed in the coach in the passenger train. There will be a big benefit from the safety point of view. – Providing on-board Wifi facility to the passengers will also help.
What is 700 MHz band and 5 MHz spectrum?
To understand in a simple way, at present Indian Railways has 2G spectrum. It is used for signaling and communication. But, many times problems have come up in this. Now the 700 MHz band and 5 MHz spectrum that the Railways have got, will allow trains to run on 4G network.
Although this spectrum will also support 5G (5G spectrum). With the help of spectrum, Indian Railways will be able to provide ‘LTE’ based mobile train radio communication service on all routes. At present, the entire communication network of the railways is dependent on optical fiber. The new spectrum will lead to the use of faster radios. The whole country is experiencing the difference between 2G and 4G.
Many new facilities started for railway passengers
Bareilly. After cancellation of reserved tickets booked through Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), you will no longer have to wait for refund. Once the ticket is canceled, the amount will be transferred to the bank account. Till now it used to take three days for the money to be refunded.
IRCTC has upgraded its website under Digital India. It has also started its payment gateway IRCTC-iPay. With the implementation of the new system, passengers who have canceled tickets through IRCTC website and mobile app will not have to wait long for refund. According to railway officials, after this arrangement, all the tickets from Tatkal can be easily booked and canceled as well.
Actually, during the Corona era, people do not want to line up outside the booking office of the railway station. Therefore, more than 80 percent of railway tickets are being booked through IRCTC. The number of passengers in trains is also increasing.
In view of this, IRCTC has upgraded the user interface. Along with this, it has also added the feature of Auto Pay in its payment gateway i-pay. Due to this, users are taking less time in booking tickets. In case of automatic cancellation of Tatkal tickets also, the refund time has been reduced. According to the public relations officer, at present about 83 percent railway tickets are being booked online through IRCTC.
Platform Ticket Rules: Traveling a long distance or want a comfortable journey, everyone prefers the train journey. To travel by train, people make reservations months in advance.
Platform Ticket Rules: Traveling a long distance or want a comfortable journey, everyone prefers the train journey. To travel by train, people make reservations months in advance. There are two ways to book tickets for reservation. Tickets can be booked through the ticket reservation window and online. But, what if you have to travel suddenly? For this, most people consider Tatkal ticket booking rules as the only option. But, today we are telling you that travel can also be done with platform ticket rules. Don’t be surprised this is true, let’s know what the rules of railways say…
travel on platform ticket
If you have only platform ticket and you have boarded the train then there is no need to panic. You can get a ticket made by going to the ticket checker. Actually, this is the rule of the Railways itself. In an emergency, a passenger can board a train with a platform ticket, but he will have to contact TTE immediately. Also, the ticket for the place where you want to go will have to be cut. However, sometimes TTE may refuse to give you a reserved seat if there is no seat available. But, nothing can stop you from traveling. In such a situation, a penalty of Rs 250 and travel fare will be charged from the passenger.
What is its advantage?
The benefit of Platform Ticket is only that the passenger will have to pay the fare from the station from where he has taken the platform ticket. While charging the fare, the departure station will also be considered as the same station. The fare will also be charged from the passenger for the same class in which he will be traveling.
What to do if the train is missed?
It is often seen that after leaving the train, people would get upset that the train was also missed and money was also lost. But, even if you miss the train, you can get the refund (Indian Railways Refund rules). In case of missing the train, the passenger can claim a refund of 50% of the base fare of his ticket by filling the TDR. But, you have to do this work within the stipulated time limit.
TTE cannot give your seat to anyone
If you have missed your train then TTE cannot allot your seat to anyone till the next two stations. You can complete your journey by reaching the next two stations before the train. However, after two stations TTE can allot a seat to a passenger with RAC ticket.
Don’t worry even if train ticket is lost
If you have taken an e-ticket for a train journey and after boarding the train, you come to know that the ticket has been lost, then you can get your ticket by paying a penalty of Rs 50 to the Ticket Checker (TTE).
