Northern Railway has issued many reserved mail/ex. Unreserved Mail/Ex. It has been decided to convert into special trains.

New Delhi. Indian Railways will run more unreserved trains from today i.e. August 12. Northern Railway has decided to convert many fully reserved mail or express special trains into unreserved special trains. These converted unreserved trains will run on Indian Railways network from 12 August 2021.

All rail passengers have been advised to check the detailed time table of these special train services through helpline number 139 or NTES App. Apart from this, passengers can also visit the Indian Railways website to check the details of these special trains. However, the Indian Railways said that all passengers should ensure all Kovid related norms of the Central as well as the State Government.

Now people booking tickets online from the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will now have to verify their mobile number and email. Only after this you will be able to take train tickets online. This verification will take you 50 to 60 seconds. Without this you will not be able to book tickets.

Because of this the rule has been changed

Passengers who buy tickets frequently will not have to go through this process. People who have not booked train tickets for a long time due to corona infection. Such passengers will have to first verify their mobile number and email address to buy tickets from the IRCTC portal. Only after this they will be able to buy train tickets online.

You have to do this for verification

When you login to the IRCTC portal, the verification window opens. Enter the already registered email and mobile number on it. Now there is an option of edit on the left side and verification on the right side. You can change your phone number or email by selecting the edit option. On selecting the option of verification, an OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your number. Your mobile number gets verified on entering the OTP. Similarly, verification will have to be done for email as well. It is verified through the OTP received on the email.

The number of passengers is increasing continuously

Ticket sales have also increased as the havoc of the second wave of Corona subsides. According to experts, more than seven lakh train tickets are being booked in 24 hours.

Keep this code in mind while booking tickets

Significantly, Indian Railways is going to start many more coaches. It also includes economy class of AC-3 tier. Let us tell you that this type of coach will have 83 berths. The fare for seat booking in these third AC coaches of economy class has not yet been fixed.

Vistadome coach is very special

Actually, keeping in mind the tourism tourism, railways is offering such coaches. The biggest feature of Vistadome coach is that passengers can sit inside the train and see the view outside. The roof of these coaches will also be of glass. AIS Railways will run at least one such train in almost every state. At present, this Vistadome coach runs from Dadar in Mumbai to Margao in Goa.

Indian Railways announces more Ganpati Festival Special Trains; see list here

Bookings of these trains along with additional trips of already announced special services on special charges will commence from 7 August 2021 on the IRCTC website and at all computerized reservation centres.

IRCTC Ganpati Festival Special Trains: As the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi is fast approaching, several Indian Railways passengers are planning their journey. Thus, to cater to the extra rush of passengers towards the Konkan area, the Central Railway zone has decided to run 40 additional Ganpati Festival special trains. These trains are in addition to 72 festival specials that were already announced by the national transporter to run during the Ganpati festival 2021. Bookings of these trains along with additional trips of already announced special services on special charges will commence from 7 August 2021 on the IRCTC website and at all computerized reservation centres. Here is the list of 40 additional Ganpati Festival special trains:

  • Mumbai-Sawantwadi Road special train (two services): Train Number 01235 will leave CSMT at 1.10 PM on 7 September 2021 and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 2.00 AM the next day. Train Number 01236 will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 02.30 AM on 10 September 2021 and arrive CSMT at 2.00 PM the same day. The train will halt at Thane, Dadar, Roha, Panvel, Mangaon, Veer, Savarda, Khed, Chiplun, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Adavali, Ratnagiri, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Kankavali, Vaibhavwadi Road, Sindhudurg, Kudal.
  • Panvel-Sawantwadi Road special train (four services): Train Number 01237 will leave Panvel at 2.10 PM on 8 September 2021 and 9 September 2021 and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 2.00 AM the next day. Train Number 01238 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 2.30 AM on 8 September 2021 and 9 September 2021 and arrive Panvel at 12.00 PM the same day. State CM Uddhav Thackeray, while addressing the citizens of the state on social media, said that there are 19 lakh people in Mumbai who have taken both their doses. They will be allowed to travel by registering themselves through an app. He said that till the vaccination is not completed in the entire state, we will have to take every step with great care. The CM further said that the decision to relax hotels, restaurants, malls and religious places will be taken during the meeting of the Kovid-19 Task Force on Monday.

Corona cases are still coming fast in these districts

He further said that I have requested private offices to reduce their office hours. We should prepare for the third wave in advance. He said that we have decided to relax in some places. But if the number of corona increases again in the state, then the lockdown will be done. Six districts of the state still remain a matter of concern as the number of Kovid-19 cases is still high in these areas. A large number of cases are still being reported in Pune, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri and Beed.

The Indian Railways has decided to run certain special trains for the convenience of its passengers. This includes special express trains between Tilak Bridge and Sirsa and unreserved mail/express special train between Delhi Junction and Hisar Junction.

The Indian Railways will run special express trains between Tilak Bridge and Sirsa. Again, unreserved mail/express special train between Delhi Junction and Hisar Junction.

The Northern Railway recently tweeted from its official Twitter handle, “For the convenience of passengers, Railways have decided to run train no. 04087/04088 between Tilak Bridge and Sirsa stations as Express Special Train as per the programme mentioned below.”

The railway passengers must note that train number 04087 Ex Tilak Bridge will run on a daily basis from August 8, 2021, The train will depart at 5.15 PM. Again, train number 04088 Ex Sirsa will run on a daily basis from August 9, 2021, till further notice. This train will depart at 2.35 AM.

The Northern Railway has also tweeted about another special train which is an unreserved one. The tweet said, “For convenient movement of rail passengers, Northern Railway will run unreserved Mail/Express special train between Delhi Jn and Hisar Jn stations as per the schedule given below.”

The passengers must note that train number 04089 from Delhi Junction will run daily from August 7, 2021, till further notice. The train will depart at 5 PM. Again, train number 04090 from Hisar Junction will run daily from August 8, 2021, till further notice. The train will depart at 5.15 AM.

The railway passengers must note that they should maintain all norms of the state and the central government regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in the trains and at the railway stations.
