The place where the Ganges originating from the Himalayas meets the ocean in Kolkata is called Gangasagar. This beautiful island of West Bengal is actually an example of the unique confluence of the Ganges and the Bay of Bengal. It is said that the fruit that is obtained by doing all the pilgrimages is achieved only by seeing Gangasagar once. Every year people come here for darshan and bathe and donate for the happiness and peace of the house. Let us tell you that Gangasagar is located in South at a distance of 150 km from Kolkata.
