Chardham Yatra 2023: Big News ! Government's advisory on Chardham Yatra, this old order withdrawn

Char Dham Yatra update: If reports are to go by, more than 6 lakh people have already registered for the next Char Dham Yatra. This number is as per the data released by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB).

As reported earlier, pilgrims will need to register themselves for the Char Dhan Yatra this year. The process is already ongoing for the yatra, which is all set to start in April this year. To make the entire process simpler, UTDB is offering the registration facility to the devotees through smartphone app, web portal, WhatsApp and toll-free number.

Reportedly, the registration process is carried out in accordance with the devotees’ needs. This is aimed to ease tracking of pilgrims, redressal of pilgrim travel grievances, and more conveniences. Further, the administration will be issuing tokens this year to registered devotees for darshan to avoid overcrowding. The tokens will let them wait for their turn without standing in the queue till the number given on these tokens appears on the display.

Revealing more about this, Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj stated that they are optimistic that this year’s yatra would surpass last year’s yatra’s record in terms of registration and footfalls. He added that this time, they have made special provisions for each registered devotee while keeping their conveniences in mind. The devotees will be able to tour each dham with ease with the tokens given to them, he added.

Do note that only those who have registered will be getting tokens. Mr Maharaj has strongly advised everyone who is planning to visit Char Dham to register to avail benefit of all the facilities while on the yatra.

If reports are to go by, a total of 6,13,624 registrations for Char Dham Yatra have been done so far, and the process started on February 21.

Consolidate your Indian passport to travel visa free to 48 countries. use this simple hack

With a valid Indian passport, you can travel visa-free to 24 countries, but by using a simple hack you can expand it to 48 countries. The trick is adding a US tourist or work visa to your passport.

This is known as “visa-free transit” or “transit visa.” Some of the countries that can be visited with ease using this method include Malaysia, Argentina, Peru, Singapore, Albania, Cuba, Bahamas, and Egypt, according to travel coach Aakanksha Monga.

And in case you do not have a US visa, just apply with an E-visa to travel to these destinations.

It’s important to note that visa regulations can change, so it’s best to check with the embassy or consulate of the country you plan to visit before making any travel arrangements. Additionally, even if a visa is not required, travelers must still comply with the entry requirements of the country, such as having a valid passport, proof of onward travel, and sufficient funds for the duration of their stay.

It also cited, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has the world’s most powerful passport, enabling travelers to enter 180 countries without a visa, with 121 countries offering visa-free access and 59 countries offering visas on arrival. The UAE passport only requires a visa for 89 countries.

Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Luxembourg, and South Korea share the second position with the ability to travel to 126 countries visa-free and requiring a visa on arrival for 47 countries. The United States passport is ranked third with visa-free access to 116 countries, followed by the United Kingdom at fourth place.

The ranking also reveals that Afghanistan has the weakest passport, with only 38 countries allowing visa-free access. Pakistan passport holders can travel to only ten nations visa-free, while Syrian and Iraqi passport holders can travel to only eight countries without a visa.
