Now railways will convert general coach into AC coach, 3-tier facility will be available in ‘sleeper’ fare!

Railway Update: Railways canceled 126 trains! 27 trains diverted, see full list here
Railway Update: Railways canceled 126 trains! 27 trains diverted, see full list here

One such experiment was done by the Railways during the Corona period in which low-cost AC coaches were added to the trains. This coach was named as Economical AC Coach. The fare of AC economic coach was kept less than the normal AC coach and this experiment of railways was successful.

In the coming time, you will get the pleasure of traveling very cheap in the most convenient trains of the country. Railways is preparing to make AC general coaches in long distance trains.

Those people will be able to travel in these coaches who cannot afford the expensive fare of AC train. According to sources, 100-120 passengers will be able to travel in these coaches. Its fare will be much less than the normal AC fare.

The Times of India has said in a report that these AC coaches will be fully reserved and will have automatic closing doors. This newspaper has written quoting sources that brainstorming has started on this plan in the Ministry of Railways. The first AC general class coach is likely to be manufactured at the Railway Coach Factory in Kapurthala, Punjab.

what was the system before

Before the Kovid epidemic, unreserved coaches were installed in almost all long distance trains. Except for Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Vande Bharat, all trains had a general coach system.

The fare was slightly higher than the earlier general coach, but the journey was comfortable and fast. Now the general coaches of these trains will also be reserved and all such coaches will be converted into AC coaches.

The source said that the government will first start it on a trial basis and see how successful the system is. If passengers will be able to enjoy the journey in AC coach at low fare and get satisfactory number of passengers, then this arrangement will be taken forward on priority. General coaches will be converted into AC coaches in almost all long distance trains.

first experiment was successful

One such experiment was done by the Railways during the Corona period in which low-cost AC coaches were added to the trains. This coach was named as Economical AC Coach. The fare of AC economic coach was kept less than the normal AC coach and this experiment of railways was successful.

During the Corona period, people traveled a lot in AC coaches, due to which the Railways earned a good amount. The fare of AC economic coach was kept less than the fare of 3 tier coach. That’s why people traveling in sleeper class took full advantage of traveling in this coach.

There is no clarity about whether such facility will be available in Shatabdi, Rajdhani or Vande Bharat. But almost all long distance trains of the country will have AC coaches. These will be the same coaches which were earlier general or unreserved and in which passengers used to travel without reservation.

Now after reserving and AC such coaches, when the passengers buy tickets, they will get the seat number reserved. In a way, this will be a reservation system only and the entire coach will be AC. However, it will be a seating compartment in which 100-120 passengers will be able to travel simultaneously.

Good news for travelers! Now you will also be able to travel in AC coach, fare may be reduced in long distance trains

Indian Railways is preparing to convert the General Class into Air-conditioned Vehicle (AC Compartment) for the convenience of the passengers. Along with this, passengers will also get a chance to travel cheaper in AC coaches.

Indian Railways: Indian Railways is constantly exploring many possibilities for the convenience of passengers. In view of this, preparations are being made to convert the general coach into an air-conditioned vehicle (AC compartment).

Every day thousands of people travel by trains in the country, some people travel long distances, while some travelers consider it convenient to travel by trains even for short distances. In such a situation, every passenger wants to travel in AC coach but it is not possible to pay that much fare.

For the passengers traveling long distances by trains who cannot pay more fare, preparations are being made by the Railways to not only convert the general coach into AC compartment, but also the passengers will get a chance to travel cheaper in AC coach. According to the Economic Times, the fare of AC coach can be reduced by eight to ten percent.

will get such facilities

These General AC coaches will have automatic closing doors

Continuous work is being done on this by the Ministry of Railways –

First AC and General class coaches are being made in the Railway Coach Factory of Kapurthala, Punjab.

According to sources in the Ministry of Railways, at present, about 100 to 110 passengers can sit in the general second class coach. Whereas, after converting the general coach to AC, even the common passengers who could not travel by paying the higher fare, would also be able to travel in this fare easily. Let us tell you, the main plan of the Railways is to run these coaches as fully reserved coaches.

Now unreserved coaches will be removed

Except for trains like Rajdhani, Vande Bharat, other long distance trains used to have unreserved general coaches before Corona

All these coaches are being planned to be converted into reserved compartments – By converting the

general compartment into AC coaches, passengers There will be relief

now passengers travel long distances by general compartment

In fact, the priority of the Railways is to provide comfortable travel to the passengers traveling in general coaches. Along with this, the option of AC coach in low fare should also be with the passengers.

Let us tell you, recently the Railways has launched AC economy class coach at a lower fare than AC 3 tier. Passengers who travel in sleeper class will now have other options available to them.

Let us tell you, the non-AC coaches with general class in the train will be retired soon. And Indian Railways is preparing to convert the general coach to AC for long distances. However, first these coaches will be installed in superfast trains.
