Earlier, the airline had announced to start direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Indore to Jabalpur from August 20.

New Delhi. Budget airline Indigo will start daily flights connecting Gwalior to Madhya Pradesh and Delhi (Delhi-Gwalior and Indore-Gwalior route) from September 1. Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in a tweet on August 13 that Indigo Airlines will start operating new flight routes between Delhi-Gwalior and Indore-Gwalior on a daily basis from September 1.

The announcement by the minister comes a day after IndiGo flagged off its first Bareilly-Mumbai flight on August 12, which will operate under the regional connectivity Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme.

Bareilly is the 8th airport of Uttar Pradesh,Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a series of tweets, “Bareilly airport has been made ready for commercial flight operations under UDAN. Bareilly is the 8th airport in Uttar Pradesh after Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Hindon, Agra and Prayagraj. IndiGo said in a press release on Thursday that its new flight from Bareilly will connect seven major regional destinations of the country in 2021. It is a sign of progress on his plan.

Let us also tell you that from the beginning of this month, the airline had announced to start direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Indore to Jabalpur from August 20. Apart from this, four more flights from Madhya Pradesh city will start from August 28. The airline will operate flights from Bareilly to Mumbai four days a week while from August 14, it will operate flights to Bengaluru thrice a week.

Scindia, a resident of Gwalior, also announced last month that SpiceJet would start eight new flights connecting Madhya Pradesh with Maharashtra and Gujarat.
